The most would be being challenged, being in the lab and having opportunities to share my work. The least would be being stuck on a problem I can’t solve. Although I eventually solve problems sometimes the journey itself can be difficult mentally. It may sound as if I’m contradicting myself, but I guess I just like things in moderation.

Most: I love the challenge of it, working in a team to resolve a difficult problem is very satisfying.

Least: Procedures; within the medical industry absolutely everything has to be rigorously controlled, and for good reason, but sometimes it feels counter-productive.

As for me, the thing I like the most is being able to change things and make a difference – closely followed by my runner-up thing-I-like-most of being able to learn about how things work all the time!

The thing that I like least is frustration, which both Sheun and Jamie mentioned, and which I don’t think only happens in engineering – but the frustration of not being able to do things, either because of safety rules, or money, or my own ability, or because technology hasn’t even advanced that far yet! But then, engineers are in a position to change a lot of these things, and if anyone can make something possible, it’s engineers.
