• Question: what did your family think when you became/ wanted to become an engineer?

      They were most pleased and incredibly supportive. I was the first member in my immediate family to go to University and not once did they try to talk me out of it.

      My family were pleased and supportive of my choice, even though it is quite different from what they do themselves.

      They were ecstatic. Although they didn’t understand the specifics of what work I would be doing they were really supportive and proud.

      They were actually supportive of whatever I did, but they seemed pleased about me doing engineering, even if nobody in the whole of my extended family does anything remotely technical, so I try not to talk tech to them! 😛
