      My dad studied engineering but he never stayed in the field.

      Most of my immediate family, namely Dad, Uncles and Grandfather have all been in technology related fields but aren’t engineers in the strictest sense. I’d argue that they are engineers as they have all the necessary skills to be an engineer but not having the job title. I’m the first to study engineering as a profession however.

      I don’t have any engineers in the family (my gran used to be an electrician on torpedo boats in WWII, and that’s as technical as it gets)! In fact, I didn’t even meet any engineers until I was at university!

      No, my family is quite creative though so I guess that’s why I like design.
