I work between cell culture and analytics so I do a mixture of growing cells in shake flasks to produce the product I need and using analytical equipment to measure product quality.

Day to day I am doing research into how I can use 3D cameras alongside a medical scan and then use the information from those cameras to improve the image quality of that scan.

Improving the image quality will go a long way in helping improve the certainty of diagnosis and hopefully more effective treatment can be planned.

I perform tests on fluidic and pneumatic systems on a micro-scale while helping to improve reliability in moulded components.

I check and fix all kinds of equipment – from blood monitors to wheelchairs – use loads of ways of measuring the way bodies work, and even give people (little) electric shocks to help them to walk!
